Abstract

The paper analyzes advantages of BIM standard application to construction and maintenance of complex objects, such as bridges, from the aspect of non-destructive testing (NDT). Test results and evaluations by digital testing equipment are stored in a database and used for bridge management. Thanks to the use of the IFC2x Platform Specification the data can be shared by many users. Effective methods of bridge testing are proposed and storing data into the database is analyzed in terms of object-oriented programming.
