REPAIRMENT OF BUILDING FACILITIES DAMAGED DURING BOMBING OF PANČEVO OIL REFINERY

Abstract

This paper presents typical solutions for the repair of damaged facilities in which the degree of damage was such that the question "demolish or repair" was posed. The facilities concerned were those where some of them, beside significant damage caused by projectile blows, were subjected to an additional process of degradation - fire action. Actually, the paper deals with repair of the cooling tower, pipe bridges, furnace foundation, and power house and S-100 structures. In all designs technical-technologic solutions were applied with least possible elimination of existing structural elements, while returning to the previous state with additional requirements resulting from the need to install new parts of equipment were also taken into account. All stated technical-technologic solutions are based on applying advanced materials and procedures, following regulations on seismic constructions.
