Centre for Metals and Energetics, within the IMS Institute, has been an indispensable part of the Institute throughout its entire history through its multidisciplinary activities. The Center for Metals itself is a leader in the fields of metal testing, both destructive and non-destructive. Also, through activities performed by accredited units of the inspection body and the certification body for the certification of welders, a wide range of business is also reflected through accredited laboratories in the fields of metrology. Participation in the economy along with scientific research and application of modern testing technologies positions the Centre for Metals highly in the Republic of Serbia and the region.
