Abstract

This paper presents the essential safety requirements for pressure equipment described in Schedule I of the Regulation on technical requirements for the design, development and conformity assessment of pressure equipment. The application of this Regulation starts on July 1st 2012, and the previous one – Regulations on technical normatives of stable pressure vessels 16/83, ceases to be valid. In this paper, the author points out the differences in the essential requirements for design stresses described in these Regulations and some deviations are analysed resulting from the application of the “new” Regulation on pressure equipment that is already in exploitation. Also a comparison of EN standards and national standards of some countries is given.
