Abstract

The necessity for defining the concept of the technical condition and evaluation of remaining capabilities in order to rank and identify excavators for possible revitalisation is evident. In that respect, this paper presents the concept of excavator evaluation based on expert assessment. In this approach, evaluation can be considered as a process resulting from synthesis of knowledge and experience, which are on the other hand, a result of performed measurement, analyses of statistically processed data on time in operation and standstill or direct expert assessment. Therefore, evaluation is related to the specific moment and should foresee operational safety for the future period.
