Abstract The procedure for data acquisition and processing is presented. Major components of the system are data acquisition, analysis, and presentation. Attention is paid to systems suitable for application in special non-destructive testing for indirect deformation measurement and damage detection. Optical testing methods (holography and thermography) and sensor methods (C scan – ultrasound and acoustic emission) are included. The application of strain gauge method for deformation testing is also considered, since the configuration of system is similar.
